This is the Ralfe Band, they are about to release their second studio album, titled Attic Thieves, look out for it on the 13th of October, no, really do, we aren't just saying that, cause this is really and truly an excellent album.

Having spent a bit of time trying to find out a bit about these guys, we were underwhelmed by the low yield of information and most of what we read we had figured out for ourselves from listening to their music.

1. they make weird and wonky acid folk.
2. there is clearly a very vivid and original imagination at work here
3. its difficult to pin down any specific influences, there is some sort of gypsy action, waltz music and a hint of psychedelia.
4. they are from the uk

Anyway, the best thing to do is have a listen to them. Here is Helmutsine, a jolly jaunt about zoo's, tigers, small husbands and other stuff.

"a whiskey-soured folk trip, from east to west...Ralfe's moon-eyed beauty is simply the work of one vivid imagination." MOJO ****
