So, Norman Cook (aka Fatboy Slim) reveals his new project and he has pulled in some pretty heavy hitters, turning it into a large scale collective calling themselves the BPA. No doubt its going to be a pretty success and to be honest its both fresh and original.
Who's in? Well, we have Norman Cook who is heading it up, plus David Byrne, Dizzee Rascal, Emmy The Great, Iggy Pop, Pete York, Jack Penate, Jamie T, Martha Wainwright, Conan, Olly Hite, Lateef, Ashley Beedle, Simon Thornton, Thomas Gandey, and Justin Robertson... Indeed, a real who's who.
So, what sort of sound? Well, essentially its party time, with Cooke's classic style of beat making, upbeat vocals, samples and general maraca-shaking. Have a listen to this one here, titled Toe Jam which is the first single released on Southern Fried and features David Byrne and Dizzee Rascal....
