This is Tapes 'n Tapes, a four piece indie rock outfit from Minneapolis who have just released their second long player titled 'Walk it off' on London indie XL Recordings.

They have been classified by many as one of the Blog phenomena success stories, having been championed by some of the uber-cool taste-makers.

In terms of their sound, there are comparisons to the Pixies and Pavement, Griers vocals reminiscent of Arcade Fire with production coming from a restrained Dave Fridmann (flaming lips).

The track below, 'hang 'em all', kicks off with a wicked guitar hook, slick bass and then Griers idiosyncratic vocals... it also comes with an excellent video, directed by Jonnie Ross.
