Pictish Trail, real name Johnny Lynch, was born and raised in Scotland but spent his teenage years in America. In 2000, after writing music and cleaning record shops, he returned to Scotland in the and meet Kenny Anderson (aka King Creosote), soon after their label, The Fence Collective was born….

This is a classic Fence release in the making with the idiosyncratic blend of acoustic guitars, drums, accordions, delicate harmonies and slight, subtle electronics.

Pictish Trail’s full length LP will be Coming out in September, titled Secret Soundz Vol.1, which shows a beautiful emotive voice mixed with his unique acoustic and folky root music.

Should be compulsory listening for anyone under the impression that Fence, the label he co-runs with King Creosote, is solely devoted to lo-fi folk. Charming and fresh – The Guardian
