3 piece lazy indie, kind of surf rock band Little Joy are named after a cocktail bar in Echo Park, just down the road from where they lives as it so happens.
The band consists of Amarante (Singer/Guitarist of Los Hermanos) and Moretti (drummer of The Strokes) Binki Shapiro, a chance meeting at a festival in Portugal and a random introduction through friends of friends brought them together and Little Joy was born.
MOving to Echo Park began demo-ing songs and together with the help of producer Noah Georgeson (who had just finished recording Devandra Banharts latest abum) they have just finished their self-titled debut, which is to be released on Roughtrade sometime in early November.
Here is a sweet little track that'll warm you up a bit. A mixture of beach boys, folk and indie sounds.
