Exposure 11
This weeks post is all about UK ground breaking soul vocalist Jamie Lidell, who is releasing his 3rd album, titled Jim.
Known for his incredible live shows involving full tilt funk right through to hard edged electronica, layering, looping and often improvising his incredible vocal range. Indeed, its his vocals that have gained him widespread acclaim, being likened to Little Richard, Sly Stone and Prince... towering accolades of course, but he lives up to them and if you check out the attached track - Little Bit of Feel Good, you'll hear its not hype.
This track will give you a good taste of what to expect on his new album 'JIM', he has dropped the electronica and focused mostly on upbeat Funk and Soul. Its an excellent album, its a change and it works. No doubt it'll be hit this summer, and you'll be see him on some of the festival bills for certain.
