Born in Camberwell, managed by Camden's Queens of Noize and now signed to Londons Moshi Moshi (alongside illustrious artists like Hot Chip, Architecture in Helsinki and Lykke Li), Florence Welch really is an artist of the city.
Possessing an incredibly powerful voice, (some say reminiscent of Janis Joplin) she sings her stories in simple, stripped bare folk and blues, from whispers to shouts, she and her machine tell it how it is.
